In the current season, the Orchestra of I Musici Veneziani, including a selection of the most talented maestros of Venetian birth and culture, presents a programme dedicated to Vivaldi (The Four Seasons) and an extraordinary Opera Concert (Baroque and Opera), in which internationally renowned sopranos, tenors, baritones and the orchestra present the most beautiful arias from the Baroque period.
The concerts, enhanced with splendid 18th century costumes and jewels worn by all the performers, are held in this season in the wonderful Salone Capitolare Affrescato, in exceptional circumstances, on the first floor of Scuola Grande di San Teodoro in Rialto, which was designed by Baldassarre Longhena and adorned with paintings dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries by Vassilacchi, Jacopo Palma il Giovane, Balestra and Bassano.
