The German Center for Venetian Studies (Deutsche Studienzentrum in Venedig) is an institution of interdisciplinary studies, which promotes research in the field of cultural studies and artistic work on the history and culture of Venice and its territory. The Center awards scholarships to young scholars whose research projects are related to Venice or to territories once under Venetian administration, as well as to artists. The program includes international conventions, conferences, concerts and other cultural events. Once a year the German Center organizes an interdisciplinary study week. A library for consultation with the current consistency of over 14,500 titles allows for a first orientation on Venetian themes. He also publishes three series, Venetiana, Quaderni and Studi.
