Built in the 14th century by Carlo Zeno, "Captain of the Sea", winner of the war fought in Chioggia between Venice and Genoa. The beautiful Gothic façade of the Palace overlooking the Rio di San Stin has been preserved over the years and is surmounted by two elegant obelisks dating back to the 14th century. The origins of the family are very ancient and since the time of Partecipazio-Badoer it has always played a fundamental role in the history of the city, among the most important ancestors we find a Doge of the Serenissima (Ranier Zeno, 1253) as well as ambassadors, senators and cardinals. Over the years the structure has undergone several changes, the most important by the architect Antonio Gasparri, commissioned by Alessandro Zeno, ambassador of the Serenissima to the court of King Louis XV of Versailles: several rooms were decorated with frescoes created by the best artists of the time (Antonio Pellegrini, Jacopo Guarana, Abbondio Stazio, Amigoni)
