In the last part of Ruga Ruga Rialto called old St. John, on the right, you'll see a wrought iron gate and a tower of '300: is the Church of San Giovanni Elemosinario (St. John Almsgiver), valuable building with a Greek cross, dating back to before 1071. Destroyed by fire in 1514 and later rebuilt by Scarpagnino, the church houses important Renaissance masterpieces, including the St. John Almsgiver by Titian, and the central dome, a work of Pordenone. The entrance has three steps.
